Saturday, January 9 is the Big Day. Our team heads off to our First Lego League competition. As a rookie coach with a rookie team, I'm feeling my share of trepidation. I did go once as an observer, so I have seen what a terrific program this is. But that's not the same as coaching a team.
We're having practice every day after school this week, trying to get our program right for the robot game, working on our skit/presentation on our research project. At this point, it looks like we've got a long way to go, but I suppose that's always the case with big projects like this, whether it's a school play or a yearbook deadline. The closer you get, the farther away the finish line appears. But somehow, it all seems to come together at the end. And no matter how we "do", we'll learn lots.
I will also post some pix. More later!
